The way that I used to have my domain users setup in OpenLDAP is that their login was "Firstname_Lastname". However, there are some applications that I wanted to use that don't like the underscore '_' in the name (specifically, MediaWiki). So, I renamed all of my domain users to have a period '.' instead of the underscore.

So, according to several comments in this Gentoo bug, there appears to be a full-featured VMWare overlay, that I was completely unaware of. Learn something new everyday, ehh? At any rate, I plan on installing it sometime soon, and hope to have more info here. Click the 'Read More' link to get more information.

I've found myself a new Linux distro (based on Gentoo) called Sabayon Linux. It's quite snazzy, and I really like it. I was running 3.4, but decided yesterday to upgrade to 3.5. However, after installing VMWare Server 1.0.4 via Spritz (the package manager) I ran into some problems. I already had a bunch of VMWare machines on a different USB 2.0 drive, so I just tried to start one up, and had an epic failure.
