I recently purchased 2 new video games, F.E.A.R and BioShock. Unfortunately, my main desktop PC is too slow to play BioShock (actually, I have a ATI Radeon 9600, which only supports Shader Model 2.0, BioShock requires Shader Model 3.0 and newer). A little bummed about that, but oh well, whaddaya gunna do? F.E.A.R, on the other hand, is totally wicked.

I finished playing HL2 and FarCry again recently. I very much enjoy both of these games. FarCry is *very* challenging (when done on the hardest AI level), which is refreshing for me. HL2 was actually quite a bit easier the second time around than I remember it being originally. Still a lot of fun though. I also played HL2: Lost Coast, which was fun. I was hoping/expecting more, but it was OK. I've been having a hankering to do some level design in HL2 (single-player coop). Not sure when I'll be able to do it, or if it's even possible. More info later. |

Among other things, I run a quake3 server in my colocation facility in the Westin Building in downtown Seattle. I might be adding a Unreal Tournament 2003 server soon, but for now it's just Quake3 RA3 1.76. System Stats OS: Gentoo Linux 2.6.21-gentoo-r4 CPU: Dual 2.8GHz Xeon with HT RAM: 1GB (I really need more PC2100 ECC RAM...) Disk: 2 x 73GB SATA WD Raptors in RAID-1 ISP: Adtaq (5Mb Commit, 100Mb burst) You can also check out the VSP stats by following this link. |
